For ~ I finally got this damn application done! Its a little messy, but hopefully it does the trick. ;D (HAHA YES I BASED HIS FACE OFF WoW TROLLS. Tusks, big ears, big nose? Come on now. I had to. Come get the voodoo~) The history is a little cliche, I may re-write it or add to it later on.
--------
Territory Name: Viridis Character Name: Jimi Character Species: African Bush Elephant Rank: Omega Gender: Male Age: 34 Powers/Abilities: Heavy-lifting, stampeding, and an outstanding memory.
Personality: Charismatic, persuasive and brimming with overconfidence, Jimi is a great big elephant taur who takes the hurdles in life with reckless abandon. Either that, or he crushes them under his weight with little to no effort. He has the ability to be a genuine, friendly fellow when he wants, but usually, his sincerity goes unmatched against his cocky arrogance. Despite that being said, Jimi would rather talk his way out of a fight rather then rushing into one- he's a natural at keeping the peace, although sometimes he has his head so far in in the clouds (with his ego) he just couldn't be bothered to help others.
History: Jimi's herd was a nomadic tribe of Savannah Elephant taurs. They happened to be migrating across the Siyyon Valley years ago, just as Jimi was born in the mountainous pass between Skeo and Spires Hollow. Yet, in a dramatic turn of events, Jimi was seperated from his mother when the herd took a wrong turn through the Praevalere country. As they scattered like mice, Jimi ended up wandering deeper into the valley, while his bewildered family continued on south to warmer, grassier plains. Not until later would they notice that their in-tow infant was missing.
Even though he was abandoned, Jimi was a courageous little guy, and didn't fear or falter. Through much trial and error, he eventually found himself in the elephant-friendly territory of Viridis. Adopted by the older, wiser taurs, he grew up strong- much stronger then some of the many deer-taurs occupying the land, and inherently very proud of it, too. Now full grown, he calls himself a defender of the Viridis people.. despite being a little too forceful in his claims. Considering one day to seek out his long-lost herd, Jimi knows for a fact that he can retrace his footsteps from memory.. but is entirely too comfortable living in the valley to ever possibly leave.
Other Info: -Chews on a grass stalk obsessively. -Always wears his beanie. (The bust is there to show what his hair looks like underneath.) -Polishes his tusks every morning. -The sun on his belly is a fingerpainting, not a tattoo. -Speaks with a sloppy hash of accents combining Jamaican, and East Indian. Can you imagine?
Awesome, an elephant taur. I love how outrageous this guy's design is. With all the dreads, tasselly rug, curly hair and wacky lid, this guy's got a lot going on. The transition of human to elephant is a bit awkward, but it's not like man and elephant are exactly the kind of combination you get a lot of reference images for.
He sort of reads more as an Asian elephant than African, what with the particularly Indian-looking rug on his notably arched back (African elephants have swayed backs) and his hat looked like a turban to me at first. All the same, I'm really getting a kick out of this character, he's definitely one of the most interestingly drawn. And it's cool how you made him kind of have a trunk, but not really. It's neat how he's painted a sun on his tummy, as it fits his being based on a diurnal animal. I think Jimi might be one of my favourite entries in VoS so far.
Man, what a crazy character! I'm not sure if the tusks work, but I like that you're experimenting with centaur-like characters. I've never stumbled upon anything like this before. Keep it up!

Awesome job!
I love him!
I thought of Trolls as soon as I saw his tusks and not even the description. xD
